National Kata Tournament 2010

The students of Eastbourne Kyokushinkai Karate club enjoyed great success at the National Karate Kata Tournament held in Reading on Saturday 13th March 2010. Each student had to perform up to 3 Katas (a sequence of pre-defined Karate techniques & moves). The judges look for precision of technique, focus and overall presentation of the Katas.

Eastbourne Kyokushinkai Karate club is pleased to announce the following students were successful in bringing home trophies:

  • Oliver Fathers - 1st place Red Belt Under 16’s Category
  • Danielle Lewis - 3rd Place Yellow Belt Under 16’s Category
  • Lauren Lewis - 2nd Place Green Belt Under 16’s Category
  • Floros Joseph - 2nd Place Green Belt Senior Category
  • Amelia White, Lauren Lewis, Bethany Charles - 3rd Place Under 16’s Team Category

Ayden Apps, Charles Hoare and Adam White also made it through to the last 16 competitors in their respective categories.

27th November - National Clicker Tournament - Rivermead Leisure Centre, Reading


National Clicker Tournament 2009
Eastbourne sent a team to the National Clicker Kumite tournament in Reading in November 2009.

Amelia White was placed third in the female under 16’s category.
